With this public lecture by Prof. Dale F. Eickelman, (Dartmouth College, USA; Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin), a leading anthropologist of Islam and the Middle East, the Center for the Study of Religions presented its research project “Religion and the Public Sphere: Interdisciplinary Approaches,” funded by the Bulgarian Scientific Research Fund at the Ministry of Education and Science. The lecture opened up a kick-off international workshop within the project.
