1. Orientation, educational goals Graduates of the specialty "Ecology and Environmental Protection" receive a Bachelor's degree in Ecology and Environmental Protection and can continue their education in higher levels of study.

2. Training (knowledge and skills necessary for successful professional activity; general theoretical and special training, etc.) Bachelor graduates receive in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge in addition to fundamental biological disciplines, as well as in a number of physical-mathematical, economic and geographical disciplines. This provides a good basis for their successful implementation in the field of ecology and environmental protection.

3. Professional competencies They are prepared to carry out activities related to various theoretical and applied aspects of ecology such as restoration of ecosystem balance, biocenoses and populations, protection of protected species of plants and animals, biomonitoring and management of natural resources, pest control, water and waste management, introduction and acclimatization of economically valuable plant and animal species, management of biological macrosystems, etc. Graduates are well-versed in Bulgarian and European legislation in the field of ecology and environmental protection and can make decisions adequate to the specific situation and environmental legislation.

4. Professional realization Graduates of the specialty "Ecology and Environmental Protection" can work as specialists with higher education in various scientific and applied science units such as universities, BAS, MA, SAA, MOEW and its divisions, municipalities, city halls, state, municipal and private companies and other departments related to solving the problems of ecology and environmental protection.
