On June 10 and 11, Utilities magazine and the Center for Educational Services (CEC) at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” conducted another online training on “Investment models and investments in RES”. The course was attended by 15 representatives of energy companies, as well as students and PhD students.

The training is part of the initiatives related to the master's program "Energy Markets and Services" at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski”.

The training presented the opportunities in front of the industry and energy for transformation into a green economy. Investing in RES is one of the highlights of the EU green law.

Some of the specific topics in the training were:

  1. What are the specific policies in the area?
  2. What are the funding opportunities?
  3. What are the tools and approaches to apply for funding?
  4. What are the procedures for construction and commissioning of decentralized capacities for sale or own consumption?

The training included lectures and open discussions with the participants.

  • Iliya Lingorski, Chief Economist, Bulgarian Development Bank;

  • Sofia Kasidova, Head of Strategic Analysis and Development, Bulgarian Development Bank;
  • Slavcho Neykov, Energy Policy Expert.
