The University of Sofia "St. Kliment Ohridski" is open in offering different specialties and forms of study to all candidates who meet the following requirements:

 

Bachelor's Degree Programmes:

1. To have completed secondary education that makes them eligible to continue their studies in higher educational institutions in the country, in which the applicants have completed secondary education.

2. To have in their diplomas for secondary education grades in the subjects relevant to the major applied for. If the applicants do not have such grades in their diplomas, they need to pass examination at the appointed by the Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science Bulgarian high school, in order to get the necessary document.

3. To have their non-Bulgarian diplomas for secondary education recognized by the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Bulgaria and their school grades evaluated according to the Bulgarian grade system (from 2 to 6), in order to get access to the admission procedure and ranking, after they pass successfully the university's scheduled entrance exams.

4. To not suffer diseases contra-indicated to the respective area of study or the profession applied for.

Master's Degree Programmes

1. To have completed higher education with Bachelor's or full Master's degree awarded. If the applicant's Diploma is acquired from a foreign educational institution, it must be recognized with the purpose of obtaining access to further education within the higher education system of Sofia University 'St. Kliment Ohridski'.

2. The average grade of the applicant's Diploma for higher education (BA / BSc degree) is to be no less than the equivalent of Good 4 according to the Bulgarian system of grades. If the applicant’s Diploma is acquired from a foreign educational institution, it must be recognized with the purpose of obtaining access to further education within the higher education system of Sofia University ‘St. Kl. Ohridski’

3. The faculties have the right to set additional requirements, entrance exams or interviews, on the basis of which the applicants are selected and ranked.
