On November 24 and 25, Utilities magazine and the Center for Educational Services (CEC) at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” conducted an online training on “Electricity Trade”. More than 30 representatives of energy traders, industrial energy consumers and others took part in the training. The training is part of the initiatives related to the master's program "Energy Markets and Services" at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski”.

The purpose of the seminar was to provide information on the development of the electricity market in Bulgaria and the region of Central and Southeastern Europe. Topics included automated trading and liquidity in all markets in terms of time interval.

Lecturers in the training were:

  • Anton Kolev, Senior Trader, EVN Trading SE;
  • Antoni Zhelyazkov, Business Development Expert, Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange EAD;
  • Ventsislav Topuzov, Manager, ROITI;
  • Kaloyan Staykov, Senior Economist, Institute of Energy Management;
  • Krasimir Zhivachki, Executive Secretary, Association of Electricity Traders in Bulgaria (ATEB);
  • Stefan Margenov, electricity trading expert, MET Energy Trading Bulgaria.
