29.03.2021

While "Software is Eating the World", democratisation is happening in digital enterprises that empowers anyone to develop apps without necessarily learning code. Emergence of low-code/no-code (LCNC) platforms are enabling a new wave of non-technical citizen developers, including students and regular employees to experiment and convert ideas into apps using rapid application development techniques and agile project management practices at the heart of innovation.

Technical role and focus of IT are being pushed into more complex infrastructure, integration and security domains by customer-centric digital transformation strategies combined with cyber threats, governance and compliance concerns. In this lecture, you will learn how to manage the full software development life cycle (SLDC) of citizen apps from ideation to deployment, through a fast track introduction to PMI's new Citizen Development Practitioner training and certification program. A case study and templates will be included for a practical CRM application development project on Salesforce platform. Participants will be provided career advise towards emerging job opportunities and invited to a further hackathon/hands-on session at a later date to collaboratively design and develop no-code apps in real time, in a matter of hours.
