On 10 December 2019 the European Parliament was the venue of a conference dedicated to 5G technologies. The main focus of the conference was on the advantages and the challenges of the implementation of the latest generation technologies (5G). Organizer and host of the event was Ivo Hristov, member of the European Parliament.

Five students from the Economics Faculty participated in the conference at the invitation of the organizers. Among the participants were also senior representatives of Nokia, Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications and others. The students had the opportunity to learn about the benefits of implementing the new technology for both business and clients and also to hear about the worries expressed regarding the 5G technology.

The questions raised during the discussions revealed that it is a hot and challenging topic.
