For another year, the Department of Sports at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" organised a winter sports and wellness camp aimed at students from all faculties who wanted to combine active recreation with exercise, nature, and new skills. The camp took place from 15 to 20 February 2026 at the "Malyovitsa" ski resort and was open to all SU students, regardless of their sporting level. The programme was conducted under the guidance of lecturers and instructors from the Department of Sports, with many years of experience in winter sports and sports education.
The camp had a multi-faceted purpose – to develop motor skills, improve physical fitness, acquire new sporting skills and build habits for a healthy lifestyle. The programme included sports, educational and recreational activities, tailored to the abilities and interests of the participants.
On 19 February 2026, at the Malyovitsa ski resort on the 'Ruzhdavitsa' piste, the interfaculty winter sports tournament for the 'Rector's Cup 2026 in Winter Sports' took place. The participants were students from various faculties who competed in three groups according to their sport and skills – beginners, advanced, and masters.
Student-athletes from the Faculty of Law won the "Rector's Cup 2026 for Winter Sports" at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" with a total of 540 points. In second place were students from the Faculty of Philosophy (505 points), and in third place those from the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics (495 points). In 4th place was the Faculty of Biology (310 points), 5th place – Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy (270 points), 6th place – Faculty of Classical and Modern Languages (260 points), 7th place – Faculty of Physics (160 points), 8th place – Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (150 points), 9th place – Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication (120 points), 10th place – Faculty of Theology (90 points) and 11th place – Faculty of Slavic Studies (70 points).
