Cherni Vrah - 2025

On 18 October 2025, despite the bad weather, the climb to Cherni Vrah took place with great interest from over 150 participants including students, lecturers and staff of SU.

The hike was organised and carried out by the University's Sports Club, the Department of Sports and the Student Council at SU with the support of Sofia Municipality.

Boyana Waterfall - 2024

On 19 October 2024, the Department of Sport, the Sports Club and the Student Council of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" held their annual mountain hike. On this day, the students who decided to participate in the event enjoyed architectural landmarks, breathtaking views and fresh air.

This year the hike was to the "Boyana Waterfall" with the meeting point chosen as the Boyana Church of "St. St. Nicholas and Panteleimon", which is also the first landmark. With the support of Sofia Municipality, each participant received a commemorative T-shirt for the event, with a total of 257 students, lecturers and staff. The hike was done along a gentle path for the safety of the students with an elevation gain of around 550 m.
