On 18 October 2025, despite the bad weather, the ascent to Cherni Vrah took place with great interest from over 150 participants including students, lecturers and staff of Sofia University.

The hike was organised and carried out by the University's Sports Club, the Department of Sports and the Student Council at Sofia University with the support of Sofia Municipality.
