The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" is among the business schools shortlisted to compete for an award in the prestigious AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards 2025, in the category „Best Culture, Diversity, and Inclusion Initiative“.

The recognition for FEBA is related to the Academy for "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion" organized in January, in collaboration with the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria (CWBB) and Lidl Bulgaria. The achievement of being shortlisted in the iconic AMBA ranking comes amid a record number of participants competing in 12 categories.

“These awards are a tribute to the visionary business schools, outstanding students, accomplished graduates and influential leaders who embody the core values of ambition, impact and integrity that form part of the AMBA & BGA networks”, announced the organizers from AMBA.

In the "Best Culture, Diversity, and Inclusion Initiative" category, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration will compete with Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, China; Cardiff Business School, Wales; Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, Peru; Fortune Institute of International Business, India; and Torcuato Di Tella Escuela de Negocios University, Argentina.

The Best Culture, Diversity and Inclusion Initiative award has been introduced to recognise business schools and the work they have been doing to create, incorporate and develop culture, diversity and inclusion practices.

The winners will be announced at a Gala Dinner on January 24, 2025, in London during one of the most prestigious events in the world of business education – the AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards 2025.

On June 5, 2023, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" officially received accreditation from the International Association of MBAs (AMBA), one of the world’s leading authorities in business education. With this step, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration demonstrates its ongoing commitment to excellence in economics and business education, becoming the first higher education institution in the country to be accredited by AMBA.
