"Raising a Nation" is based on a program from Harvard University and includes the study of theoretical models and case studies that help in understanding and applying growth and development theories. It seeks to answer questions such as:

  • Why are some countries rich while others are poor?
  • What can economic policies do to change that?
  • What factors and forces explain the difference in the growth rates of different countries?

Lectures are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 PM in room 304 of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University.

The program is open to all ambitious and curious individuals.

The lectures are entirely in English, and participation is completely free. More information can be found here: https://www.economicstrategy.org/ran/

To participate, applicants need to send the following documents to info@economicstrategy.org:

  • An essay on the topic "What are your career aspirations? How will the CESC courses help you achieve them?";
  • A resume (CV);
  • A list of the subjects they have studied and their grades (an academic transcript is also acceptable).
