The master's program “Energy Markets and Services”, in partnership with the sustainable development department ENGIE Impact of the consulting company ENGIE, organizes a half-day practical workshop on 18.01.2023 (Wednesday) for its students on “Solutions and strategy for supplying electricity produced from renewable energy”. Ch. Assist. Dr. Maria Trifonova will welcome the guest lecturer Dr. Stanislav Yordanov in the course “Renewable energy sources and biofuels” led by her.

Stanislav is part from ENGIE Impact team in EMEA region. He has broad technical, management and consulting experience in the power sector and management of large-scale, multidisciplinary projects. His area of expertise and vast theoretical knowledge, among power utilities business, includes smart building and grid technologies, demand response, elaboration of multi-sites decarbonization and renewable energy sourcing actionable roadmaps and optimization of energy related costs experience. He is power engineer with further PhD degree in smart metering, demand response and energy markets.

In this session, Stanislav will present the current market opportunities for renewable electricity sourcing and associated with each solution feasibility, quality, and economics aspects, as a basis for selection of the different solutions. The practical part envisages co-creation of main steps for development of renewable electricity sourcing roadmap and development of the roadmap itself.
