On April 30 in Hall 400 at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and through MS Teams, students from the master's program "Economy and Finance" presented their research on current economic topics within the discipline "Workshop on Economics and Finance".

Under the scientific guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dimitar Zlatinov, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Stella Raleva and Assoc. Nedko Kosev a discussion was held on:

• Opportunities and risks for Bulgaria and Europe arising from the European Green Pact;
• The European Energy Union and the concept of a "Common Energy Market" - the nature and challenges facing national economies;
• The impact of the energy crisis on the economy of the European Union and in particular Bulgaria;
• The road to green transformation: analysis of the energy position as part of Bulgaria's transition to a green economy;
• The macroeconomic effects of COVID-19 on the Bulgarian economy;
• The regional dimensions of the COVID-19 epidemic and the impact on the Bulgarian economy;
• The comparison between macroeconomic policy measures in response to the global financial and economic crisis of 2007-2008 and to prevent the negative economic effects of COVID-19;
• Peculiarities and factors of inflation in Bulgaria in the conditions of membership in the European Union and the forthcoming accession to the euro area;
• The dynamics, structure and factor conditionality of Bulgaria's exports and imports to the euro area;
• The dynamics, structure and factual conditionality of investments in Bulgaria in the context of membership in the European Union and the state of the world economy.

As a result of the exchange of views, interesting views were heard on the current economic processes in the country and the region, with an emphasis on the challenges and possible solutions to overcome them.
