The financial aid amounts to about 21,573 euros for the entire educational program. It covers tuition fees and living expenses paid in installments during the training. In addition, as part of the initiative, fellows will receive regular invitations to events organized by DeepMind, a grant to attend an international research conference, and the purchase of basic work equipment (a suitable laptop). They will also have individual mentors from DeepMind and GATE.

The main goal of the partnership between Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski”, GATE and DeepMind, is to demonstrate the high value for society, which brings the encouragement of students to scientific careers in the strategic areas of big data and artificial intelligence, especially if they belong to disadvantaged groups or underrepresented groups.

The application deadline is October 15, 2021, and more detailed information about the conditions and the scholarships can be found on the GATE website here.
