A team of 7 VMware employees conducted an interactive online course for students of the Faculty of Economics at Sofia University on “Visualization of data from analytical research”. During the two-day weekend session, students from the Master's program “Accounting and Big Data Analysis”, the Master's program “Accounting and Auditing” and the Master's program “Business Data and Finance Modeling”, worked on a case under the mentorship of professionals from several departments of the company.

The presented information was structured in 5 modules, which cover knowledge and skills needed in the process of planning, organizing, conducting and presenting analytical research. The learning content of each of the modules was illustrated in the context of a case study on COVID-19. The students were divided into teams and each team developed an analytical solution to the case within a study project under the mentorship of the VMware team.

The course ended with presentations of the solutions of each of the teams. After the formal closing of the lecture session, students had the opportunity to talk to the VMware team, get feedback, and guidance for future development.
