The new journal of the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - "Energy and Climate Diplomacy", part of the long-term research series in the field of energy diplomacy and security, was presented to an expert audience today.

The publication brings together articles of leading experts on topics such as energy diversification, energy policies and connectivity in the European Union, the Balkans and the Black Sea region, the European green deal and the transition to a low-carbon economy. The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and Director of the Master's Program "Energy Markets and Services" Assoc. Prof. Atanas Georgiev also participated with an analysis in the new edition.

The collection was presented by Ms. Tanya Mihailova, Director of the Diplomatic Institute and Mr. Slavcho Neykov, Chairman of the Board of the Energy Management Institute, as well as editor of the collection and member of the National Advisory Board of the DI. The authors of the collection, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Valentin Katrandjiev, expert in DI, and Ms. Velislava Dineva, senior expert in the Energy Projects and International Cooperation Directorate at the Ministry of Energy, briefly presented highlights from their reports, including the relationship between energy, geopolitics and diplomacy in modern international relations and the trilemma between energy efficiency, economic development and environmental protection in the countries of Southeast Europe.

 

The collection is published in partnership with the Energy Management Institute and with the assistance of the Hans Seidel Foundation in Bulgaria.
