The Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev, was elected as a member of the Management Board of the Bulgarian branch organisation "Electric Vehicles Industrial Cluster" at the regular General Assembly held on June 20th. Host of the event was The Bulgarian Industrial Association - BIA, of which the branch organization has been a member for 10 years. Radosvet Radev - Chairperson of BIA - welcomed the participants.

The other two newly elected members of the Management Board were Major-General Dr. Grudi Angelov, Commandant of “G. S. Rakovski” Military Academy, and the Coordinator of the National Platform for Education and Innovation in Energy Cyber Security, Dimitar Stoyanov.

With the election of the three new members of its Management Board, EVIC emphasized three main lines of action for the next program period:

 

  • Development of the unique sectoral model connecting business and education in the "Electrical Mobility” sector.
  • Electromobility and energy security and cyber security,
  • National Integrative platform for a charging stations infrastructure - "Bulcharge" – a smart grid network covering energy distribution companies, manufacturers and retailers of products and services for charging electric vehicles, etc.

 

Members and partners of EVIC are more than one hundred and thirty business companies, non-governmental organisations, higher and secondary education schools and institutions, and others. The number of the Bulgarian municipalities, official partners of EVIC, is thirteen.

 

EVIC is a long-term partner, on the part of business, of the Master's Program "Energy Markets and Services" at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.
