On the 25th of January, 2017 begins CopyrightX: ILAC 2017, a specialized course on US copyright law under the auspices of Harvard University. This is going to be a first time opportunity for Bulgarian specialists to participate in a copyright course conducted fully in English and following the unique methodology of Professor William Fisher III from Harvard University.

The course shall mainly be focused on American copyright but through the experience of proven specialists in the Intellectual Property field from Bulgaria and other European countries, many parallels shall be made between the US and the EU, especially the Bulgarian legislation of copyright.

To celebrate the inauguration of the new University Entrepreneurship and Business Center of Sofia University, International Legal Advice Center-ILAC , in cooperation with the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University, is giving one full scholarship for the CopyrightX: ILAC course 2017 with a fee of 2000 Euro. All students from Sofia university can apply for the scholarship. Very good command of English and strong interest in the copyright issues are mandatory.

Conditions:

1. All students from Sofia University, no matter the year and faculty they are in can participate in the competition.

2. Each applicant must make a presentation of a maximum of 10 minutes about “The best solution for protecting author's rights in Bulgaria”.

3. The presentation will be held in English before a jury constituted of:

1. Oral presentation time will be 10 minutes maximum. PowerPoint can be used. Think broadly, all applicants are encouraged to be creative.

2. Applications for participation to the competition are going to be accepted until 01.12.2016 by e-mail: office@ilac.eu with Subject: SU Competition or directly through Bruce Whitfield.

3. The final presentation before the jury shall take place in January 2017 , the exact date and hour shall be additionally mentioned.
