The Master’s Programme in Audiovisual Design is intended for professionals with a strong interest in contemporary digital media technologies who hold a Bachelor's degree in the professional fields of 1.3 Music Education Pedagogy or 8.3 Music and Dance Arts. The programme aims to educate highly qualified specialists capable of meeting the evolving challenges faced by media designers in the era of advanced multimedia technologies.

 

The curriculum combines compulsory theoretical courses, specialized practice-oriented courses, elective subjects, and optional courses, complemented by an appropriate amount of practical training. Through the integrated curriculum, students acquire a solid foundation of professional, creative, and practical knowledge while developing the ability to apply an interdisciplinary approach to audiovisual media technologies.

 

 

 

Graduates of the Master’s Programme in Audiovisual Design gain:

 

  • Comprehensive theoretical knowledge in digital audio and audiovisual technologies;

  • Audio engineering fundamentals;
  • Video editing;

  • Operating analogue and digital audio recording systems;

Students who successfully complete the programme are awarded the professional qualification of Multimedia Designer and acquire competencies in:

 

  • Video editing and post-production;
  • Sound design;
  • Comprehensive planning, development, and production of audiovisual projects.

 

 

 

Graduates who earn the Master’s degree and the professional qualification of Multimedia Designer are well prepared for careers as:

 

  • Video editors in broadcast and digital media, and specialists in audiovisual post-production;
  • Editors and audiovisual designers for television, online, and other digital media platforms.

 

 

 

Admission Requirements

 

Applicants to the Master’s Programme in Audiovisual Design must hold a Bachelor's degree.

 

 

 

Admission to the fee-paying form of study is based on:

 

A Bachelor's degree with a minimum overall grade of Good (or equivalent);

An interview, during which applicants present and discuss an original media project developed independently by them. The project must be submitted in electronic format on a standard digital storage medium.
