OPPORTUNITY TO STUDY IN PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC

The Fund for American Studies is pleased to announce the 20th anniversary of bringing its message of freedom outside American borders. Since the American Institute on Political and Economic Systems (AIPES) began in 1993, more than 2000 students from 30+ countries have attended our flagship program in Prague.

AIPES 2013 will take place from 13 July – 5 August in Prague, Czech Republic. 2013 is also bringing some exciting new changes to TFAS and AIPES. AIPES is expanding its outreach into the Middle East, North Africa, and Western Europe as well as Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the United States. Along with expanding its outreach, AIPES is expanding its academics to include core courses on political philosophy, political economy, and conflict management. These new academic components will be tied together with the traditional AIPES courses of government and economics. Once again, our academic partner Charles University will award six ECTS credit hours (equal to 3 US credit hours) upon the student’s successful completion of AIPES 2013.

As a valuable resource for the leaders of tomorrow, you can assist us in recruiting outstanding students for AIPES. We invite you to recommend participants for the program either by forwarding this announcement to outstanding young leaders, distributing this flyer to interested students, or by completing an online nomination form.

The deadline to apply is March 15, 2013.
