The Communications Intern supports and executes the delegated responsibilities that are part of the overall public presentation of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria (AmCham Bulgaria) that is part of the Communication Function of the chamber. The position is responsible for the coordination and reliable management of the chamber’s Digital Platform and the Marketing Communication activities that support Chamber’s activities, events, projects, etc.

The Communication Function includes Public Relations, Digital Platform and Marketing Communication.

AmCham’s Digital Platform includes:

  • AmCham Bulgaria Weekly Newsletter.
  • amcham.bg – Chamber’s main website where the chamber, its members and partners publish their own verified content.
  • Marketing mailings to members
  • Own social media channels – LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube.

Marketing Communication includes all communication and/or marketing materials about chamber’s events and projects.

Main responsibilities:
  1. Implements the reliable and quality content management of the Digital Platform and Marketing Communication.
  2. Coordinate the strategic and operational projects and tasks with the Communications and Public Affairs Manager and with the Event and Project Manager.
  3. Takes part at team’s meetings where considered, proposes, plans and executes public presentation concepts and activities.
  4. Supports other team members with relevant to the scope of their work communication/marketing tasks.
  5. Maintains connection with all members’ PR/Marketing specialists.
  6. Follows brand identity of the organization.
  7. Follows high standards in reputation building, ethics, stakeholder engagement.

Requirements:
  • High School diploma; Bachelor’s degree will be an advantage
  • Previous experience in PR / Digital Communications (hire or own)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to focus and multi-task
  • Good team player
  • Hands-on experience with MS Office (particularly MS Word and MS Excel)
  • Language: Fluent written and spoken Bulgarian and English
