Научни интереси: Геологична микробиология, биохидрометалургия и опазване на околната среда, биология на ацидофилни хемолитотрофни бактерии, силикатни, сулфат-редуциращи желязо-редуциращи и окисляващи бактерии, нефт-разграждащи бактерии. Екологични биотехнологи за получаване на метали, очистване на замърсени почвни и води.
