Coimbra 2019 - International Forum of EYP Portugal
An event aimed at university students aged between 18 and 25, from all over Europe, that will take place in the city of Coimbra, Portugal, between the 20th and 25th August.
Background information on this Organisation. The European Youth Parliament Portugal (EYP Portugal) is one of 40 organisations that exist across Europe and that, together, form the European Youth Parliament (EYP). Each country has a national committee that is in charge or, amongst other things, organising events that aim at providing youngsters with a platform for personal development in different areas whilst getting them involved in thinking and debating issues currently affecting our world. In these events, students - in the role of delegates - are allocated into different committees. Each committee will discuss a different topic and write a resolution for it. This resolution is then debated in a General Assembly with all participants. In Coimbra 2019, all topics will revolve around the theme “Past the Present: a Strategic Agenda for 2030”.
These events not only provide youngsters with an opportunity to debate and develop multiple transferable skills - such as teamwork and conflict resolution - while actively discussing matters of extreme importance, but also give them the chance to get in touch with new cultures and meet people from all around Europe.
With the aim of reaching as many people as possible, we kindly ask you to advertise this event to your students and any other interested party.
The second round of the application process has just started and will take place until the 22th of June. As an attachment, we send you the official poster of this event which, if possible, we ask you to print and make visible or sent to the academic community.
