Job Description

The primary objective of the Finance Intern role is to provide the GFS FP&A teams with support across various tasks related to general accounting, financial analysis, reporting and forecasting.

The main responsibilities of the role include working with financial planning and reporting systems, generating reports required by the GFS FP&A team members with respect to forecasts, regular and ad hoc management reports and a varied range of financial data analysis.

What you'll be doing?

  • Supporting the development of GFS FP&A;
  • Supporting the financial strategy as directed by your Leadership team;
  • Supporting accurate reporting of appropriate business KPIs to monitor and support decision making;
  • Supporting the GFS FP&A teams in the preparation of month-end, forecasting and budgeting;
  • Supporting the development of Experian’s annual operating budget to ensure that all financial targets are met and that financial and statutory obligation are complied with;
  • Working within and complying with our information security, financial crime, product development and other key areas of regulatory risk;
  • Assisting the business in ensuring that good customer outcomes are at the center of decision making;
  • Proactively developing and facilitating effective business relationships, internally with other Finance Team, Finance Leadership and the wider business;
  • Acting with due skill, care, diligence and integrity in carrying out all finance duties;
  • Assisting in ensuring that Experian complies with its obligations in relation to financial reporting.

Qualifications

What you'll bring?

  • A student in their third or fourth year of bachelor studies in a well-recognized university or college, specializing in the field of Finance, Financial Management and Accounting;
  • Theoretical awareness of business planning techniques and tools – used in building strategic plans, annual budgets and regular forecasting;
  • Strong written and verbal English;
  • Good communication skills with the ability to stakeholder manage across diverse groups and across different countries;
  • Good relationship building skills and ability to create partnerships with stakeholders and teams;
  • Team player;
  • Sufficient spread sheet (Excel) capabilities are considered an advantage.
  • Contribute to building a positive culture
  • Demonstrate self-awareness, know your strengths and weaknesses; own your development.
