Chief Expert General Procurement

KBC Group Branch Bulgaria has been established in 2018. Since then, it provides innovative solutions and services for different entities in KBC Group in the field of IT, Audit, Risk Management and Procurement. As we want to expand the existing Procurement Team, we are hiring a new colleague to strengthen the team.

We are looking forward to find a highly motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic person, with ambition to develop knowledge and experience in the field of Procurement in general, and preferably IT Software in particular.

As a Chief Expert General Procurement you strive to get an optimal supplier price for the different entities of KBC Group -located in 6 countries- in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. You will perform the negotiations on behalf of KBC Group to improve the current conditions.

You will work in close cooperation and communication with the KBC Procurement colleagues in Belgium. You’ll be member of a Procurement team of in total 40 professionals of which 8 are located in Sofia and the remainder in Belgium.

Main responsibilities:

  • Coordination of the investment projects relating to different entities in KBC Group. Assist in defining objectives, tasks and budgets;
  • Organize the processes for conducting delivery procedures. Examine and evaluate all aspects of supply management from implementation, through operation to scrapping. Prepare inquiries, invitations, evaluation methodology, commercial evaluation, financial conditions, comparison tables, etc. Coordinate the activities of the applicants and their participation in the Procurement procedures;
  • Manage projects and activities related to the largest suppliers. Lead negotiations with suppliers;
  • Coordinate and sign contracts and annexes in your area of responsibility;
  • Perform various types of market analyses and forecasts, formulate proposals for optimization and cost reduction or for the use of a substitute product / service. Forecast expenses for future periods;
  • Communicate with all relevant units in companies from KBC Group, external suppliers and KBC Belgium Procurement. Adhere to KBC standards in the field of supplies;
  • Manage and collect the information needed to maintain a database of suppliers, a group of goods or services.

 

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in an economic or technical orientation;
  • Experience in the field of IT Software and of vendors in that domain (SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, McAfee) will be considered as advantage;
  • Experience with large scale vendor management;
  • Good organizational skills and teamwork skills;
  • Knowledge and understanding of procurement processes;
  • Good written and oral communication and negotiation skills;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Ability to categorize the risks inherent in each project;
  • Computer literacy: ERP (SAP), advanced MS EXCEL;
  • Daily working language will be English, hence proficiency in written and oral communication is a must.
