About the Position:
Position Title: Press & Media Assistant

Responsibilities:
- Monitor Bulgarian press and media coverage.
- Develop media contacts and support press/media activities on U.S.-related topics.
- Provide verbal and written reports on media engagement to Mission leadership.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with media professionals.
- Organize and manage events such as press conferences, interviews, and journalism seminars.
Requirements:
Experience:
- Option 1: Minimum 2 years in a relevant field (e.g., media, PR, communications, marketing) in organizations like media outlets, NGOs, embassies, or corporations.
- Option 2: Minimum 4 years in a similar field with at least 2 years of college/university education.
Education:
- Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Political Science, or similar.
- Option 2: At least 2 years of higher education.
Languages:
- Fluent English (Level 4).
- Fluent Bulgarian (Level 4).
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of Bulgarian press, media institutions, and international communication trends.
- Analytical and communication skills to evaluate and predict media influence.
- Event management, digital media expertise, and familiarity with tools like MS Office, photo/video editing, and social media platforms.
