SUNOTEC positions itself as an integrated solution provider, covering all services from geology, procurement, engineering and construction services to operations and maintenance and re-powering of plants with a large focus on BESS.

Expanding our team in Sofia, Bulgaria, we are looking for an experienced International Tax Specialist.

Responsibilities:

• Supports Group’s Head of Tax and the Tax Managers in tax related affairs and provides updates on the progress of tasks;

• Participates in tax analysis and planning for the SUNOTEC companies on international tax matters such as permanent establishment status, taxation of permanent establishments, application of Double Tax Treaties;

• Supports Tax Managers in communication with tax authorities;

• Collects internally necessary documents to evidence particular parameters of SUNOTEC’s presence abroad;

• Performs research of the tax legislation and relevant tax and court practices;

• Supports Tax Managers in analysis of Group value chain transactions for tax purposes;

• Demonstrates and develops further attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to work relatively independently;

• Willingness to learn new things and develop as a tax professional.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Economics or Finance;

• General knowledge of Bulgarian and international (EU and OECD) tax legislation and guidelines;

• 1-2 years of relevant experience as tax consultant, specialist or similar, in-house or in a consulting firm would be considered an advantage;

• Fluent English (written & verbal).
