Expanding our team in Sofia, Bulgaria, we are looking for an experienced Corporate Tax Specialist.

Responsibilities:

• Supports Group’s Head of Tax and the Tax Managers in tax related affairs and provides updates on the progress of tasks;

• Participates in tax analysis and planning for the SUNOTEC companies on tax matters, including corporate taxation, Bulgarian withholding taxes, application of tax treaties, etc;

• Communicates with stakeholders in relation to application of Double Tax Treaties;

• Supports Tax Managers in communication with tax authorities;

• Assists in review and/or preparation of corporate income tax returns and withholding tax returns of the Bulgarian entities from the Group;

• Performs research of the tax legislation and relevant tax and court practices;

• Demonstrates and develops further attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to work relatively independently;

• Willingness to learn new things and develop as a tax professional.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or Law;

• General knowledge of Bulgarian direct tax legislation;

• 1-2 years of relevant experience as tax consultant, specialist or similar, in-house or in a consulting firm would be considered an advantage;

• Fluent English (written & verbal).
