The world renowned specialists in Old Greek literature Prof. Lorna Hardwick and Prof. Oliver Taplin will pay a visit to Sofia University between 22nd and 25th April, 2013. They were invited by the Department of Classical Studies, Faculty of Classical and Modern Philology.
Prof. Oliver Taplin (Oxford) will deliver a lecture on "Tragedy and Vase Painting", in which an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the structure, contents and presentation of the ancient drama.
The series of lectures delivered by the two lecturers are under the project "Arion: Documentation and research on the reception of the Ancient Drama in Bulgaria", a joint project with the University of Plovdiv, funded by the National Science Fund.
