Foreign citizens admitted to institutions for higher education in Bulgaria pay tuition fees set by the Council of Ministers on an annual basis. The fees are set in their total annual amount in EUR or BGN equivalent according to the rate of the Bulgarian National Bank.

The tuition fee for Bachelor's degree programmes (in Bulgarian) is € 3300 - full-time and € 2750 - part-time education. The tuition fee for Health Care (in Bulgarian) is € 3100 - full-time

The tuition fee for Master's degree programmes (in Bulgarian) is € 3300 - full-time and € 2750 - part-time education. The tuition fee for Medicine and Pharmacy (in Bulgarian) is € 4650 - full-time. The duration of the study is 6 academic years.

Some faculties offer tuition in a foreign language for Bachelor's and Master's degree. The tuition fee for these courses is 3850 € - full-time education and 3300 € - part-time education. The tuition fee for Medicine and Pharmacy (in a foreign language) is € 4650.

The tuition fee for Doctoral degree programmes is € 5500 - full-time and € 2750 - part-time education (in Bulgarian); € 6500 - full-time and € 3300 - part-time education (in a foreign language)

There is a Language course in Bulgarian with an annual fee of € 3300 per year.

The tuition fee for Specialization courses is € 5500 - full-time and € 2750 - part-time education (in Bulgarian); € 6500 - full-time and € 3300 - part-time education (in a foreign language).

The students can pay the fees in two equal installments at the beginning of each semester.
Individuals with double citizenship, one of which is Bulgarian, pay half of the amount set for the non-EU citizens, if they have been admitted in accordance with the requirements established for foreign citizens.

Master's and Doctoral Studies in Philosophy Taught in English at Sofia University
