1. A completed Application form or a letter of application containing a brief CV and specifying the faculty and the major applied for (the name of the respective bachelor's or master's degree program), the mode of education (full-time or part-time) and the period of study. The application form must explicitly specify the proficiency level of the applicant in Bulgarian language.

* In the application forms the candidate-students may indicate more than one faculty and program applied for and will be ranked accordingly.

2. ORIGINAL DIPLOMA AND SUPPLEMENT WITH THE GRADES WITH THE ORIGINAL TRANSLATION AND LEGALIZATION! Individuals who graduated non-Bulgarian secondary schools also submit a Certificate for acknowledged secondary education issued by the Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science. The certificate contains the grades in the different subjects recalculated according to the Bulgarian grade system. A validated copy and a certified translation of a Diploma for completed higher education (for Master's degree), accompanied by a full Academic record (applicable to foreign citizens applying for post-graduate studies / higher educational degree).

3. A language certificate is obligatory with language proficiency minimum Upper-intermediate (B2).

* The documents stated above (the non-Bulgarian ones) must be officially translated into Bulgarian and legalized in accordance with the provisions contained in the intergovernmental agreements between the Republic of Bulgaria and the country in which these documents were issued. If such agreements do not exist, the documents must be validated, translated and legalized, according to the standard procedure for legalization of official papers (Apostille).

4. A photocopy of the applicant’s passport / identity card with the name legibly written in the Latin alphabet and indicating the place and date of birth. Applicants with dual citizenship should also provide photocopies of their Bulgarian identity card or passport. Whenever there is a difference between the names on the two identity cards or passports, the applicant must also provide a notarized declaration of identity (or, alternatively, a certificate issued by the respective municipal authorities) stating that the different names belong to one and the same person.

The University has TWO WEEKS to send the documents to the Ministry of Education and Science.
